Swift & Staley Starts Paducah Infrastructure Contract
Swift & Staley on Tuesday began its three-year, $138.8 million contract to provide infrastructure support at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant. The Energy Department’s Office of Environmental Management in June announced the award of the contract, which has an additional 22-month option period and a full potential value of $177.2 million, for which Swift & Staley beat out four other bidders. The contract includes firm-fixed-price, labor hour, cost reimbursement, and indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract line items. For the past 2.5 months, Swift & Staley has worked a bridge contract, which tied its previous full-scoped Paducah infrastructure contract to the current one.
