At Nevada: DOE Taking Applications for Nevada SSAB

By ExchangeMonitor

The Energy Department said Tuesday it is taking applications for membership on the Nevada Site Specific Advisory Board, which provides citizen feedback about the agency’s ongoing nuclear operations and cleanup activities at the Nevada National Security Site.

“Ideal candidates are private citizens living in communities near the [the site] who are willing to volunteer their time,” Kelly Snyder, of DOE’s Nevada Field Office, said in a press release.

Board members serve two-year terms and meet about eight times a year, DOE said in the press release. Applicants do not need to have technical backgrounds, the agency said.

Those interested can apply at: www.nv.energy.gov/nssab/.
