Plant Recognized for Safety Performance

NS&D Monitor

Kansas City Plant contractor Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies has gone 5 million hours without a lost workday injury  and was recently recognized by the National Safety Council for going 12 months without an occupational injury or illness that resulted in a day away from work. The recognition comes as Honeywell is working to complete a move into a new facility by August. The National Safety Council gave Honeywell its Perfect Record Award as well as the Significant Improvement Award for reducing injuries and illnesses requiring time away from work by at least 20 percent. Honeywell said it was also recognized in March for reaching 159 days without an Occupational Safety and Health Administration Recordable injury and 491 days without an injury involving days away from work.
