Amentum hires Cavendish exec to lead international security line

By ExchangeMonitor

Maryland-based Amentum has hired a former Cavendish Nuclear boss, Loren Jones, to lead its national security group’s international business line, Amentum said in a Tuesday press release.

Jones joined Amentum this month as managing director and senior vice president of the Amentum security group’s international business. He will head nuclear, security and environment business for clients internationally, with a European focus.

Jones reports to Mark Whitney, president of Amentum’s National Security Group. “This appointment strengthens our international team and enhances our position in a key growth market as we compete for upcoming nuclear and environmental opportunities around the world,” Whitney said.

Previously, Jones was an international business director for Cavendish in the United Kingdom, where he oversaw business in Japan, Canada, United States, and elsewhere, Amentum said in the release. Jones has held posts with Hyde Group, Nuvia, and Westinghouse Electric.  He currently chairs the Northern Nuclear Alliance in the United Kingdom.
