The American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity said Friday it will welcome new leadership in 2017. Current President and CEO Mike Duncan will step down at the end of the year. Paul Bailey, current senior vice president of federal affairs and policy, will take over for Duncan effective Jan. 1. “With a new Administration and a new Congress in 2017, I think it is a good time for ACCCE to move forward with new leadership. I’m proud of what we have accomplished over the past four years, and look forward to taking on new challenges,” Duncan said in a press release.
Duncan has been ACCCE president since 2012. “Mike, facing some extraordinary challenges, led with distinction over the past four years. He saw to it that ACCCE remained extremely effective and achieved significant victories in the courts and in the states,” Matt Rose, immediate past chair of ACCCE and executive chairman of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway, said in the release.
The ACCCE is an advocacy group representing coal companies and utilities.
