Morrison to resign as CEO of Veolia’s U.S. unit

By ExchangeMonitor

William Morrison planned to resign as chief executive officer of Veolia Nuclear Solutions’ U.S. Federal Services business effective Friday, the company announced Monday.

Steve Moore, the chief operating officer of the Federal Services business, was to become the interim CEO while the company searched for a permanent CEO, according to a press release.

The company did not give a reason for Morrison’s resignation.

“It’s certainly with sadness that I am resigning from my position as President & CEO of VNSFS,” Morrison said in Monday’s press release. “That being said, I am very proud of what has been achieved during my time here and I look forward to seeing the business continue to grow, and develop, to meet its ambitious growth plans.”

Veolia is a French nuclear-waste management company that also operates in the U.S., including at Department of Energy nuclear sites.
